In season 3 episode 9, Rick offers Beth the option to leave her family and replace her with a clone. In episode 10 “Beth” freaks out at the realization that she is a clone. I think the real beth did take a leave of absence and we are left with a clone of her. This story will be wrapped up in season 4 and the real Beth will return.

The way I see it is if the beth we know is a clone then she would be terminated by now and she would feel no pain as her work is done.Seeing as Rick hasn't done that yet indicates that she is the real thing.
I agree. I really believe only clone-Beth would stay with Jerry in the long run. Rick has been pretty clear that he wants Jerry out of the picture and maybe realized the only way to do that was with this scenario. He knew that there would always be that insecurity deep down in real-Beth that only she is only good enough for Jerry. Real-Beth (with clone scenario) can travel the world (universes?) and see that she is extraordinary and Jerry is basically shit just like Rick has said. I look forward to the return of Rick-Beth after her adventures – or maybe not returning, but an episode with a glimpse into what’s been happening.
I'm with you but I don't know if it will be resolved
Alternative hypothesis: Real Beth thinks she’s the clone. Clone Beth thinks she’s the real Beth?
How fucked would it be psychologically, you not knowing if you’re the original or a cloned human?
Maybe the original Beth—thinking she’s a clone—leaves and then the cloned Beth who thinks she’s real then returns to take over looking after that family.
Then it’s a case of the real Beth has “voluntarily” lost her family. Even more fucked up.
Rick might then clone the rest of the family for the original Beth (who thinks she’s the clone) to look after.
That’s twisted. Doubt it’s what’ll happen but imagine if something like that happened. R&M (the show, not the titular characters) is twisted enough to do that.

That's what I'm talking about man. I didn't even think of the clone Beth thinking she is real. It would be a sweet setup to dive into the ingenuity of Beth if her and her clone had to duke it out over the family.
