You are watching: My time at portia photos of portia

here is the one I took, for reference you gotta use the forward/back directional keys (W/S on keyboard, I"d assume just push left stick forward/back on controller) to get it into focus if the building isn"t immediately outlined in green with the check mark.some buildings are finicky, like the church requires its doors to be in focus (instead of the whole building)
if you stand between paulies shop and the portia times, the building should get highlighted when in camera mode and a green check mark appears too. did work for me

Thanks. Didn"t know about the green check mark beforehand. That does help. It"s still a bother getting people photos (they don"t stand still) but it"s doable.
- The camera has different modes - if you hit the "camera button" again you remove the MC from the photo. That should help with most of the camera quests.- You can also freeze the time with "C" in case you want to take a photo of a person. - It is also possible to move the camera position with the "WASD" buttons to get much closer than the zoom allows. (At least that is how it currently works with the PC version - no guarantees for the console ports.)
No matter where I stand, that checkbox does not want to appear :( I had to exit the game 4 times to actually make it work also dont take picture of mei, first start with outside stand next to the big tree then go inside and take picture of the printer then with mei
As a note for anyone trying to do this now, since this is the first thing that pops up when searching for this issue. If you use the take picture option from the inventory screen you won"t be able to successfully take the picture, you need to hit Z to pull it up in order for it to work.
Also be aware that if you get a checkmark next to the lightpost that is next to the Portia Times, you are taking a picture of that, and not the building. As a person stated above, you want to be on the side close to Best Brothers furniture and zoom around that view to get the checkmark.
Cause this post got bumped.Lemme just add, not getting that green vink popped up, a fix for me when it didn"t show, was to sleep, quit the game, start it back up and continue.Suddenly it did trigger.

This helped me finally get it sorted! EVERYONE who is struggling press Z to access camera and it should work. Common error is going in to camera through inventory.
OMG FINALLY...I used the photo example to get the picture needed...I kept getting the light post outlined and thought that would work...though I was confused why a lamp post was for Portia Times...turns out it wasn"t...that lamp post is for a different set of pictures. Anyway, FINALLY got the picture after hours (in-game) of trying everything! SHEESH!
Thanks to SilverDragon! The instructions and everybody kept saying to hit the "camera button" twice, but the only camera button I ever saw was in the bottom right corner when you are looking at photos and it would only let you click it once. Saying that it was "Z" finally helped me to understand the mechanics. I would have never figured that out.
